Windmill, the Giraffe Walks Past way

Windmill from the archive, made the way Giraffe Walks Past was made. SAM 2.1 traced the windmill in every frame. The rig is the chosen Quick, Draw! doodle itself (quickdraw:4794921946972160): its own lines, bent at a few joints, so every frame is the same drawing. 15 keys were placed by eye over the silhouettes; in-betweens follow the silhouette frame by frame. Scenery is real Quick, Draw! doodles on depth planes that slide with the measured camera; the silhouette is painted as a cel.

Round 1 · bar_metNamed “a windmill: a tall tower with four sails turning on a central hub”; motion smooth. Frame 1 is nearly the reference doodle itself; in later frames the sails get longer and thinner than the doodle's wide petal-shaped sails, and the top cap loop is redrawn wider. The bottom vertical tick and the open-topped tower outline stay the same.
Round 2 · bar_metNamed “a windmill: a tall box-shaped tower with a domed top and several long blades joined at a central hub”; motion smooth. The animated windmill uses the same box tower, wobbly roof ellipse, small hub loop, short door tick and five loose petal-shaped blades as the doodle, so it reads as the same drawing.
