Skateboard, the Giraffe Walks Past way

Skateboard from the archive, made the way Giraffe Walks Past was made. SAM 2.1 traced the skateboard in every frame. The rig is the chosen Quick, Draw! doodle itself (quickdraw:5264525936820224): its own lines, bent at a few joints, so every frame is the same drawing. 12 keys were placed by eye over the silhouettes; in-betweens follow the silhouette frame by frame. Scenery is real Quick, Draw! doodles on depth planes that slide with the measured camera; the silhouette is painted as a cel.

Review

Round 1 · bar_not_metNamed “a skateboard (long tilted deck on two round wheels)”; motion broken. In c.png the two wheels are closed, solid polygons with the left wheel's stroke running up into the deck; in many animated frames the wheels are open hooks, drop away from the deck, or carry stray cross marks (frames 4 and 6), and the right wheel in frame 7 becomes a trailing tail. The deck in c.png is a fat rounded slab, while the animated deck is a thinner slanted sliver.
Round 2 · bar_metNamed “a small car or monster truck: a long flat body on two large round wheels”; motion broken. The body outline and the two loop wheels match the doodle's construction, including the short overlapping stroke on the top edge. The animated version is smaller, more tilted, and the wheels change shape slightly from frame to frame, sometimes crossing into the body line.
Round 3 · bar_metNamed “a small wheeled vehicle, a car or skateboard seen from the side, with a long flat body on two large round wheels”; motion smooth. The animated drawing keeps the doodle's long rounded deck, the overlapping stroke at the top front, and the two lumpy polygonal wheels, so it reads as the same drawing.
