Raccoon, the Giraffe Walks Past way

Raccoon from the archive, made the way Giraffe Walks Past was made. SAM 2.1 traced the raccoon in every frame. The rig is the chosen Quick, Draw! doodle itself (quickdraw:5643141870780416): its own lines, bent at a few joints, so every frame is the same drawing. 6 keys were placed by eye over the silhouettes; in-betweens follow the silhouette frame by frame. Scenery is real Quick, Draw! doodles on depth planes that slide with the measured camera; the silhouette is painted as a cel.

Round 1 · bar_metNamed “raccoon”; motion broken. The round face with smile, small ear, oval body, stick legs and banded tail match the doodle. The head is smaller relative to the body than in the doodle in frames 3 and 4.
Round 2 · bar_metNamed “a raccoon (round smiling face with ears, oval body, four stick legs, striped ringed tail)”; motion smooth. The animated figure uses the same angular head with ear, dot eyes and smile, oval body, four stick legs with a hooked front foot, and banded tail as c.png, with only the head proportions changing in later frames.
