Rabbit, the Giraffe Walks Past way

Rabbit from the archive, made the way Giraffe Walks Past was made. SAM 2.1 traced the rabbit in every frame. The rig is the chosen Quick, Draw! doodle itself (quickdraw:6204342979788800): its own lines, bent at a few joints, so every frame is the same drawing. 20 keys were placed by eye over the silhouettes; in-betweens follow the silhouette frame by frame. Scenery is real Quick, Draw! doodles on depth planes that slide with the measured camera; the silhouette is painted as a cel.

Round 1 · bar_not_metNamed “rabbit”; motion broken. Frames 4 to 6 match the doodle: a mirrored side-view outline with two long pointed ears, an open back, and a front-leg notch. Frame 1 is a small frontal figure with flat ears, frame 2 puts the ears on the left side of a body that faces right, and frames 7 and 8 stretch the body and leave only loose, disconnected strokes at the right edge, so the doodle's outline is lost.
Round 2 · bar_metNamed “rabbit”; motion broken. The animated rabbit is a mirror of the doodle (faces right instead of left) and its body is rounder and more hunched than the doodle's long low body. The ears keep the doodle's two pointed loops, but they often cross the head line or float loose from it, which the doodle's single continuous outline does not do.
Round 3 · bar_metNamed “a rabbit”; motion broken. The animated rabbit uses the same open single-line outline, two long pointed ears, spike front leg and bumped rump as the doodle, mirrored to face right, though the head in frames 1-2 is drawn tall and narrow and loses the doodle's rounded snout.
