Hurricane, the Giraffe Walks Past way

Hurricane from the archive, made the way Giraffe Walks Past was made. SAM 2.1 traced the hurricane in every frame. The rig is the chosen Quick, Draw! doodle itself (quickdraw:4791481996935168): its own lines, bent at a few joints, so every frame is the same drawing. 6 keys were placed by eye over the silhouettes; in-betweens follow the silhouette frame by frame. Scenery is real Quick, Draw! doodles on depth planes that slide with the measured camera; the silhouette is painted as a cel.

Review

Round 1 · bar_metNamed “waves”; motion broken. Each cluster repeats the doodle's layered scribble with pointed right ends. The doodle is a single cluster, while the animation shows several copies at once.
Round 2 · bar_metNamed “a flat, pointed, boat-like scribble (a canoe or low boat shape made of overlapping strokes), drawn twice, one copy stacked above the other”; motion broken. Each copy uses the same long overlapping strokes and pointed right end as c.png, but the drawing appears two to four times per frame instead of once.
Round 3 · bar_metNamed “a wave or swell of water, drawn as a stack of long horizontal strokes that come to a point on the right”; motion smooth. The animated figure is the same layered, right-pointing scribble as c.png, only smaller, with the same strokes and construction.
