Dog, the Giraffe Walks Past way

Dog from the archive, made the way Giraffe Walks Past was made. SAM 2.1 traced the dog in every frame. The rig is the chosen Quick, Draw! doodle itself (quickdraw:6507786613555200): its own lines, bent at a few joints, so every frame is the same drawing. 18 keys were placed by eye over the silhouettes; in-betweens follow the silhouette frame by frame. Scenery is real Quick, Draw! doodles on depth planes that slide with the measured camera; the silhouette is painted as a cel.

Round 1 · bar_metNamed “dog”; motion broken. Frames 1, 2 and 6-8 keep the doodle's boxy head with an eye, long neck, rectangular body and separate straight-line legs, so they read as the same drawing. Frame 3 breaks the drawing apart (head detached at lower left, legs scattered) and frame 5 squashes the body into a short hunched shape that no longer matches the doodle's proportions.
Round 2 · bar_metNamed “a four-legged animal with a long neck and a pointed snout, most likely a dog”; motion broken. The animated figure keeps the doodle's diamond-shaped head with the eye, long neck, boxy rear and loop legs, but in later frames the rear box and legs are drawn twice so the body looks duplicated.
Round 3 · bar_metNamed “a long-necked four-legged animal, read as a horse or dog”; motion broken. Frames 1-5 match the doodle's head, eye, neck and rectangular rump closely, but from frame 13 on the rump rectangle is drawn twice, overlapping, so the body looks doubled.
