Two theories, one material

This is an executable editorial experiment. Metz proposes relations among shots. Deleuze-inspired operations change duration, recurrence, response and the sound–image relation. Neither engine certifies its output as a syntagma or a Deleuzian sign.

Text is parsed by visible lexical rules, not an LLM. You can override the operation. Free retrieval searches descriptions, titles, subjects and weaker original search hints. It does not use WYGWYL poem-to-candidate assignments.

Source-passages retain existing editorial annotations. Free retrieval can propose unsupported temporal or spatial relations. “No direct match” is shown rather than presented as understanding. The catalogue uses only bundled media with verified durations.

Playback uses browser seeks. Still holds are labelled, and the export records source ranges separately from screen time. Optional speech recognition depends on browser support and may use your browser’s speech service. It starts only when you press Speak. Read-aloud uses a synthetic voice, not a recording of you.

The sign palette follows this lab’s Deamer-derived 45-entry ontology. It is not a dictionary invented by Deleuze. The eight Metz types are proposals about passages, not fixed shot labels.

Same material. Change the operation.

A/B measures edit decisions, not semantic correctness. In a source passage, both use the same available blocks.
