THE DESK
PGM is what plays; PVW is what comes next. CUT swaps them; AUTO or the T-bar runs the selected transition from program to preview. DRIVE lets the words (the machines' match to each line) or your marks move the T-bar.
LIFT · GAMMA · GAIN act on the selected source (A, B or both): drag the puck to push colour, drag the ring up or down for level, double-click to reset. BAL takes the cast out frame by frame; MATCH moves B's colour onto A's; FIX applies each shot's measured legibility fix (the COLOUR page).
PALETTE: the top pads are the twelve districts' measured palettes, the lower ones pop colourways. LOCK maps each source's own six colours onto a pad, dark to light, in OKLab, keeping each pixel's light and shade (DETAIL). SWAP trades A's and B's colours.
PRINT separates colour from the black detail, after Warhol's portrait screenprints; ×4 and ×9 repeat it in other colourways. The faders tint the four layers SAM 3 found: people, skin, sky, ground. MELANIN re-tones skin onto a deep brown ramp.
STORE, then a look pad, keeps the whole desk in that pad.
