Independent repair-source audit — papermans_paper_512kb.mp4, source124–136s Conclusion: negative for continuously observed inked-form → paper contact → newly printed proof. Positive only for a source-native editorial association between a composed form and a printed sheet, plus a continuously visible printed-sheet lift. Do not label this interval as a verified same-object transformation. Method: decoded the original source124–136 at8fps, inspected all96 samples in temporal order (six16-frame sheets). Then independently extracted source128.000,129.125,129.250,130.500,133.500,134.750. No audio or native-speed playback. Screenshot evidence: film78/criticB/repair/source01.jpg through source06.jpg (each covers2seconds in left-to-right/top-to-bottom order, beginning124); film78/criticB/repair/decisive_sources.jpg has individually labeled decisive frames. 124–approximately129.1: an older man reaches/works over a composed dark printing form. The view gradually favors the form as his upper body leaves the frame. At128 and129.125 the form remains bare of a white sheet. The picture does not show ink application well enough to verify that this is an inked surface, rather than just an assembled form. Between sampled129.125 and129.250 there is a clear native hard cut. The camera angle, framing, equipment and background change. At129.250 a different press/bed arrangement appears. A white printed/imaged sheet is already present on the apparatus; it becomes more legible as the view moves closer/downward around130–132. No placement of blank paper, contact/impression, or emergence of printed imagery is shown in this transition. The edit cannot establish identity of the prior form or an individual sheet. Approximately132.5–134: hands enter at the near edge of the already printed sheet, grasp it and lift it from the apparatus. By134–135.875 the man turns/holds the large sheet upright, visibly displaying its printed layout. This is a genuine within-shot handling/lifting action. It is not merely a still layout. The newly exposed material is a visible printed sheet, but its act of becoming printed is not observed here. Consequences for proposed repair: opening on the bare composed form and returning to the lifted printed sheet would give a stronger visible class/state contrast than replaying the identical tape/machine excerpt. It could honestly mean 'form/design → printed page in this source's own edited demonstration.' It would still not prove one form's impression, the same sheet, a changed room after a shift, cleanup, reuse or renewal. Preserve the source cut and identify the relation as editorial/source sequence, not an unbroken causal event. Whether this creates a meaningful final return is a fresh actual-export perceptual question; this audit does not pre-accept a repair.
