Independent critic B — 074 / THE MISSING MINUTE — V02 Verdict: bounded VISUAL PASS. The actual export clears V01's report-clipping failure and repairs the missing-account logic. The cross-referenced fictional records now make the final move from observation to unverified report intelligible without needing the complete strings from a private database. Full native-speed narration, tick interpretation, reading duration and audiovisual acceptance remain INCONCLUSIVE. Actual repair inspection I independently extracted actual V02 MP4 frames at8,24,40,57,68,84 and99 seconds and inspected all at full960x720 resolution. This checks all six report fields and the final schema card. I then read the updated M02/M04 database records and schema-cause statement. This is a focused repair review, building on V01's complete temporal sheet inspection; I did not perform another full real-time screening. No audio audition, speech alignment or synthetic-voice/tick acceptance occurred. No builder script or other critic report was read. V01's failure report remains preserved. All six fields now visible M01,4–21 seconds: 'Heard a break before the cup reached the table' now wraps with the final word visible. M02,21–37 seconds: the full report states that Mara placed M01's break at twelve and said M04 removed the clock's hands. The second clause is now visible, not confined to narration/private records. This prepares the forthcoming absent case with a particular allegation. M03,37–54 seconds: the intact-CUP-01-after-break report is fully visible over two lines. The apparent temporal conflict remains deliberately unresolved rather than edited into certainty. M04,54–64 seconds: the full report now says its missing account leaves M02's clock-hand claim uncorroborated. The portrait remains explicitly withheld and the key retained. It no longer says a missing person-record makes the known reporter impossible to assign. That is a substantive logical correction, not just a layout fix. M05,64–81 seconds: 'The recurring tick is the cabinet latch, not a clock' is completely visible. The 'not a clock' qualification no longer disappears beyond the image edge. This remains a fictional reported source reattribution; I have not heard the cue. M06,81–98 seconds: receiver-mediated later hearing and the complete 'Was not at the table' clause are visible. This provides an accessible cause for separating medium, witness and hearing time from a generic observation field. At99 seconds the shorter SCHEMA REVISION heading and all supporting text fit. DISPUTED OBSERVATION→UNVERIFIED REPORT, new medium/witness/time-of-hearing fields, and the refusal to establish one shared instant are fully readable. No right-edge clipping or overlap blocks these enlarged samples. Omission and memory links The M02→M04 reference now encounters a missing account whose specific potential corroborating role has already been named. KEY-04 persists despite the absent portrait and recurs inM05, which can explain cabinet access without restoring the withheld account. Thus the omission changes what can be corroborated; it is not decorative blankness or an accidental missing asset. The repeated CUP-01 handle inM01/M06 links two reports without proving the same firsthand instant. The handless clock and M05's latch attribution weaken an easy shared-time inference. M03's intact-cup claim prevents the object from settling a clean chronology. These links provide an intelligible reason for revising evidential categories rather than solving the mystery by fiat. The updated database's M02/M04 allegation, missing-account consequence and M06-based schema cause agree with the visible repair. Database narration text agrees semantically with those fields, but that is not verification that the output voice is audible, correctly timed or identical word for word. Largest remaining gap and optional development The final schema change is still announced rather than applied to a displayed corrected case. Its causal reasoning is now supportable from readable M06/M04, so this is not a blocking defect. A useful further refinement would show one populated revisedM06 row: medium=receiver, hearing time=later, presence at table=no, named reporter=Orin. Falsifiable condition: a viewer could see exactly what the directory now distinguishes rather than only learn a new heading. Preserve the absence of a definitive shared event; do not add an unsupported solution. The long largely static case pages remain dependent on reading/narration rhythm. At normal speed they may earn recall time or become inert; still inspection cannot settle that. The title's missing minute remains a fictional problem of timing claims, not an established real missing interval. Scope All portraits, names, objects and case conditions remain openly invented. No real archival person is given a fictional condition. The tick and libflite speech are newly authored and have not been auditioned here. V02 passes the bounded actual image/text and omission/schema test, while complete original-prompt and audiovisual acceptance remain unclaimed.
