Independent critic B — 069 / IT MUST BE CONNECTED — V02 Verdict: bounded VISUAL PASS for exposing the manufactured entrance/shared-space relation. The cabinet-first post-gap repair provides a concrete corrective event absent from V01's immediate audience reprise. Full anticipation at native speed, gap-length preference, score counterpoint and audiovisual acceptance remain INCONCLUSIVE without listening/real-time viewing. The original prompt's dispersing group is not reproduced and is no longer needed or claimed by this bounded adaptation. Actual inspection I inspected all five main V02 one-second sheets and the longer variant's changed post-gap/ending sheets1–4. I successfully extracted actual main V02 frames at3.5,29.5,32.5,38.5,53.5,60.5 and65.5 seconds, and inspected these at full960x720 resolution. I additionally inspected a four-frames/second actual-main extraction of the cabinet reveal beginning29 seconds. The invalid-main container limitation in V01 is cleared on this local extraction scope: the current main supplies decodable actual frames. I did not independently perform a complete-file decode or audition either soundtrack. The V01 selected original-source audit remains the source evidence for the unchanged footage. No other critic report or builder script was read. What the repair actually does The opening remains hand3–6, reel6–10, cabinet10–14, auditorium14–20 and the one-second reprise20–24. It invites an unsupported chain: hand starts machine, machine opens a door, audience belongs beyond it. Each shot continues to carry the separate-recordings/editorial-connection notice. After WAIT24–29, the main now returns immediately to the cabinet at29–35. It begins with recognizably the same panels, then moves to reveal a bank of drawers and interior furniture. The enlarged32.5-second frame and dense sequence show this is a material reveal in the source, not merely a new caption over an unchanged door. No auditorium is visible inside. This is a specific correction to the possible shared-entrance inference. It gives the interruption an answer independent of an invented audience dispersal. At35–42.5 the uncropped hand record proceeds into its exposed mechanism. The actual38.5-second caption now reads 'Bookkeeping and You / an inner mechanism, exact function unresolved'. This appropriately narrows the claim: source identity and extra machinery are established; a precise operating purpose is not asserted from an ambiguous close view. At42.5–52.5 the broader projector record shows the second reel, body and demonstration context. At52.5–59.5 the auditorium is explicitly presented as a separate record. The audience is seated and later closer; there is no dispersal claim. Putting this separate space after the cabinet correction makes the earlier proposed spatial connection visibly an editorial product. At59.5–64.5 THE LINK WAS OURS now names the cabinet interior and auditorium in another record, then says the hand/reel supply motion and the edit supplies connection. That wording is supported by what has been shown. The65–68-ish inner-mechanism hold remains explicitly editorial, with no claim that either machine actually stops. Exact half-second transitions should be taken from the timeline; the full-resolution65.5-frame verifies the actual hold caption. Longer variant The74-second variant retains the same initial shots and extends WAIT24–33, then begins the same cabinet answer33–39. The later context shifts by four seconds. I provisionally prefer the main's five-second gap: the reveal itself supplies the reversal, and nine seconds adds no visual evidence. This is a picture/duration judgment only. Whether the residual composed sound makes nine seconds more compelling cannot be judged without audition. Largest remaining gap and optional repair The actual post-gap caption announces 'THE DOOR OPENS ONTO A CABINET INTERIOR / not the auditorium' from29 seconds, before the drawers have fully emerged around32. It is accurate, but it tells the correction before the image gets to make it. The final explanatory card then states the conclusion again. This is the largest remaining form weakness: the work's own explanation can outrun its revelation. An optional small repair is to show only the source title during the first seconds of29–35 and introduce the cabinet-versus-auditorium wording once the interior is visible, or rely on the later final card. Falsifiable condition: with the early explanation hidden, a viewer can identify the furniture reveal and articulate why the implied doorway into an audience fails. Do not alter the source to force that reading. The current accurate caption is not a factual blocker, and the actual picture repair already supports a bounded pass. Limits and strengths The constructed chain is announced rather than claimed as documentary continuity. The cabinet correction is concrete, broader projector context is genuinely available in the source, and the revised mechanism wording respects unresolved function. Preserve those changes and the honest editorial-hold label. The initial causal expectation may still be weaker for viewers who immediately recognize the projector demonstration or furniture. The score is likely central to the sense of a machine gathering purpose, but its composition ledger and numerical events cannot substitute for hearing it. No real disaster or continuous cross-source event is established by the inspected pictures. V02 clears the identified visual reversal problem; it does not by itself complete the original audiovisual tribunal.
