Independent critic B — 063 / A VOLUME OF AIR — V02 Verdict: qualified VISUAL PASS. The actual repair improves the mechanical demonstration substantively. No remaining visual objection blocks the bounded archival analogy: a visible human-connected chamber response, an explicitly different mechanical use of air, and depletion remembered against a fixed hoop. Full audiovisual and normal-playback acceptance remain INCONCLUSIVE. This does not certify a continuous full-to-empty observation, human recovery, or the original prompt's literal new tabletop scenes. Actual inspection I inspected all five ordered one-second V02 sheets, then extracted and inspected the actual MP4 at four frames/second from 29 through 41 seconds. This checks both sides of the changed joins and the whole restored moving-car passage. I did not repeat the dense V01 source audit for the unchanged human section, and did not replay the unchanged long comparison. The V01 report records that audit. No audio audition, native real-time playback or target-display evaluation occurred. The V02 source ranges supplied by the parent were not substituted for inspecting the actual pictures. Repair observed 29.5–32.7 approximately: the large full sphere remains visibly held against its wire hoop. A fleeting laboratory/funnel fragment still appears around 32.75 seconds; it has NOT disappeared in V02. 33–38 seconds: the added side view shows the car moving past the START marker while the bag is still substantially full. Its shape fluctuates and begins narrowing within this passage. This is a real improvement over V01's immediate jump from the static sphere to a much more depleted head-on view. The motion of the vehicle and the shared hoop now connect the full bag to practical mechanical use before severe depletion. At 38 seconds: the edit changes to the head-on car view with a visibly less full bag. This remains an elapsed-interval/angle change. The restored five seconds do not provide the whole intervening history, and there should be no claim that every stage of collapse has been continuously witnessed. 38–49.5 seconds: head-on and side passages provide further visible narrowing within their shots. The car's changing scale complicates simple apparent-size comparison, but the bag relative to its own hoop makes the material loss legible. The 51–53 close view of the limp membrane and 53–55.8 wide view complete a concrete progression from taut rounded container to depleted shape. Unchanged core The human passage still supports its central causal claim. Around 12–15 seconds, after the demonstrator-changing source dissolve is finished, the chamber band moves up and down while the man stays connected to the mouthpiece in the same take. The 15–19 effect-only crop continues that response with the face absent. The dissolve around 10.5–12 remains an actor/source transition, not a breath or physical chamber event. The 19–21 card clearly distinguishes the following engine demonstration. The final depleted bag is mechanical depletion, not evidence that a human has recovered from exertion or completed a breathing exercise. Largest remaining gap and falsifiable refinement The largest remaining gap is the angle/time jump at 38 seconds from the fuller moving bag to a partly emptied one. It is now a much smaller causal objection because the fuller bag has already been seen in use. A brief 'Later in the same demonstration' marker at this join would make the omitted interval explicit if the film needs that degree of evidence clarity. Remove the approximately quarter-second laboratory fragment just before 33 seconds as a separate polish: it is too brief to explain anything and briefly redirects attention to a different apparatus. A reviewer should be able to describe a bag losing fullness during selected recorded stages, rather than report an uninterrupted collapse. No new physical event needs to be invented. Strength and remaining scope V02 better binds the initial sphere, moving car and eventual wrinkled membrane into one specific material event. The added START view gives the transition a practical beginning. Its fixed hoop, then increasingly exposed frame, carries the memory of volume effectively. I prefer V02 to V01 for this criterion. The source-context limits remain: anatomical/educational breathing footage contrasted with staged Chevrolet/General Motors industrial promotion; an analogy between effects, not an equation of human physiology and a car's air supply. The unchanged comparison remains useful for auditing source chronology, with its prolonged laboratory sequence less focused as a short.
