"text": "VERDICT: reference stronger (leaning inconclusive on sound; I cannot hear the film, and the transcript's \"Chug\"/\"Little\"/\"Fiamco\" are probably hiss false-positives).\n\nNoticed before the brief: at 0:00-0:12 a boy crosses a fixed-camera room, carries a chair to the window, climbs on it and appears to fiddle with the blinds, and leaves it tipped over at 0:11. From 0:13 to ~0:31 the room is empty and the frames are almost static. A figure flickers at 0:23 (a hat or head at the desk), a possible removal artifact. At 0:32-0:39 a split screen shows left recorded, right removed. At 0:40-0:46 a red mask appears over the figure.\n\nLargest gap: there is no cup and no routine. The brief wants an intact passage, then the same passage with the person removed while the chair movement remains. Here the person is gone from frame 0:13 on, and about 18 s of empty room follows with almost no change (loudness is flat near -18.5 dB). Nothing is established as ordinary, so no deviation can register. The film is also 46.7 s, not 60 s.\n\nRepairs:\n1. Show the intact passage and the removed passage back to back, not the split screen. Check: by 0:20 the same chair movement appears with the boy visible, then without him.\n2. Cut the empty hold at 0:14-0:31 to a length that has a visible event. Check: something in the room changes (chair settles, blind moves) at least every 5 s.\n3. Remove the 0:23 flicker, or show it deliberately. Check: a frame-by-frame look shows no stray figure in the empty stretch.\n\nStrength to protect: the red-mask explanation at 0:40-0:46, with its caption, makes the intervention inspectable.",
"builder_note": "No cup and no routine cannot be fixed with this footage; the brief wants a newly recorded room. The 0:23 flicker was real (tracking left a carried object visible for about two seconds) and was masked by hand afterwards. The film already shows the intact and removed passages back to back (0-32 s) before the split screen.",

Inside it, the replacement is revealed: computed from recorded pixels of the same shot at other moments, so it shows the room as it was when he stood elsewhere, not what the camera saw at that instant (film grain, flicker and any light change are averaged away). It is not generated. No pixel is hidden in every frame (0.00% of the frame), so nothing needed to be invented; any pixel that had been would be white in the map below, and the map is empty.

Tracking left a carried object visible for about two seconds, and a hand-drawn box was added to the mask for derived seconds 15.0-17.3.
